EPC: WHAT IS IT?

Collective protective equipment (CPE) is intended to protect any worker against a specific risk that may threaten their health or safety. It aims to limit or confine the risk and is always implemented as a priority over personal protective equipment (PPE). CPE is part of the preventive measures that we apply on a daily basis. The order of the measures to be taken are:

defined by the principles of prevention.

THE 9 GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF PREVENTION:

  1. Avoiding risks

  2. Assessing non-avoidable risks

  3. Combating risks at the source

  4. Adapting work to man

  5. Follow the evolution of techniques

6. Substitute the dangerous with the less dangerous

7. Plan prevention

8. Collective prevention > Individual prevention

9. Give appropriate instructions
